How it differs

Filler adds volume, mesotherapy nourishes, Rejuran repairs. Polynucleotides stimulate fibroblasts to produce more collagen and elastin, and the result shows as thicker, more resilient skin. That is why the effect appears over weeks rather than immediately.

Under the eyes this distinction matters. Where visible vessels and crepiness come from thin skin, trying to solve it with filler risks puffiness and a bluish cast (the Tyndall effect). Rejuran thickens the skin in that area instead, reducing how visible the vessels are.

Protocol and expectations

The standard course is three sessions three to four weeks apart. Small blebs form at the injection points after the first session and disperse within a few hours. The real change in texture is noticed after the second.

Rejuran exists to improve skin quality, not to erase wrinkles. For deep static lines it is planned alongside botox or filler. Combining it with microneedling for acne scarring is an approach we use often.

Common questions

It depends on the cause. Where the darkness comes from vessels showing through thin skin, Rejuran gives a clear benefit by thickening it. Pigmentary darkness or shadowing from fat loss need different treatments — we establish which applies at the consultation.

The small blebs at the injection points disperse within a few hours, though in some patients they remain faintly visible until the next morning. So we suggest scheduling for the evening or a weekend.

The product contains highly purified polynucleotides stripped of protein components, so it is generally well tolerated even by people with a fish allergy. Even so, we ask you to tell us about any allergy in your history before treatment.

Yes, they are often planned together, usually a few days apart rather than in the same session. The logic of the combination: filler addresses volume, botox addresses muscle movement, and Rejuran addresses the skin itself — three different layers.
