Permanent make-up means placing pigment into the upper layer of the skin in a controlled way. Done well it does not read as make-up but as how you already look. Our preference is always natural tones and a restrained application.

Lip pigmentation

With lips, the aim is to revive the natural colour and define the border rather than add colour. On pale lips with a faded border it makes a clear difference. The shade is chosen against your skin tone and the lip’s own colour, and the colour in the first days always looks darker than the final result.

It is a two-stage procedure, with a retouch four to six weeks after the first session. The retouch is not optional but part of the protocol, because some pigment is lost during healing and the true colour only settles then.

Eyeliner and brow work

For eyeliner we prefer a lash-line enhancement — filling between the lash roots so the lashes read as denser, without appearing as a drawn line. Thicker winged liner is also offered, though we suggest restraint given how styles change over the years.

On the brows, besides permanent pigment we offer brow neutralising (correcting old, discoloured permanent make-up), shaping and brow vitamin treatments. Brow lamination is a separate matter — not permanent make-up, but shaping your own hairs.

Common questions

Not permanently — it fades over one to three years. That is actually a benefit: your skin tone, hair colour and preferences change, and a pigment that fades allows you to adapt. Lips generally fade faster, eyeliner more slowly.

Yes, and it is normal. For the first three to five days the colour is noticeably darker than the final result, then lightens as it crusts and heals. The true colour settles at four weeks. So do not panic in the early days — leave the judgement to the retouch appointment.

Usually yes. Old pigments commonly shift towards blue or red. Neutralising uses a complementary tone to balance the colour. Where it is very dark or extensive, laser lightening may be needed first. We assess with photographs and set out a plan.

Do not pick the crusts — the pigment comes away with them and healing becomes patchy. Avoid pools, the sea, saunas and sunbeds for the first week. Use the aftercare balm as directed and protect from the sun. Following the healing instructions directly determines the result.
