How it is delivered

There are two routes: micro-injection directly into the skin, or absorption through micro-channels created by microneedling. The second is more superficial but covers a wider area, and is preferred when the target is acne scarring or overall skin quality.

For the scalp, exosomes are delivered to the follicles with mesotherapy technique. In hair loss they are planned alongside medical treatment aimed at the cause, not used alone.

Realistic expectations

Exosome therapy is not a miracle treatment and does not produce dramatic results in one session. Where it shows its effect most clearly: accelerating recovery after a procedure such as laser or microneedling, evening out skin tone and renewing fine texture.

So we usually plan it as a complement to another treatment rather than on its own. Applied after carbon laser or microneedling, for instance, it both shortens recovery and sharpens the result.

Common questions

No. An exosome is not a cell but a signalling vesicle cells secrete. It should not be confused with stem cell procedures — they are different categories in content, delivery and regulation. We think it is important to keep that distinction clear.

A three-session protocol is usually advised, two to four weeks apart. A first change in tone and radiance can be noticed after the first session; textural renewal settles once the course is complete.

On its own, limited. The work in acne scarring is done by microneedling, laser or subcision; exosomes speed the recovery from those procedures and support the result. A combined protocol is markedly more effective than exosomes alone.

Beyond a few hours of redness and mild tenderness at the site, no significant side effects are expected. Treatment is postponed where there is active skin infection, an open wound or active acne lesions. It is not carried out during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
