Which peel for which skin

A pumpkin peel is a superficial enzyme-and-acid treatment chosen for radiance, with almost no downtime. A yes peel is a more intensive protocol used for uneven tone and pigmentation, and causes a few days of flaking.

Triple glow combines several stages in one protocol. Carbon laser is used particularly for pore appearance, oiliness and dullness; it does not cause peeling and you return to your day immediately.

Being realistic about pigmentation

Treating pigmentation takes patience and is not solved by one method. For hormonally driven pigmentation such as melasma, peels alone do not give a lasting result; they need planning alongside home care, sun protection and sometimes medical treatment.

Sun protection is half the treatment here. Without SPF 50, pigmentation returns whatever method is used. Because the UV index in Cyprus is high we stress this particularly — we want sun protection to be a habit before treatment begins.

Common questions

It depends on the protocol. Pumpkin peel and carbon laser cause no visible flaking and you return to your day immediately. Stronger protocols involve three to five days of peeling. We say this upfront so you can choose around your schedule.

A carbon lotion settles into the pores, and as the laser vaporises it, the debris and sebum inside are drawn out with it. The heat also stimulates collagen. It is effective for pore appearance, oiliness and dullness, and supportive in pigmentation treatment.

It depends on the type. Sun spots lighten markedly; with hormonally driven pigmentation such as melasma, the goal is control rather than complete clearance. Recurrence is very common once sun protection lapses. We are clear about this from the start.

Superficial protocols can be, provided sun protection is strict. We usually suggest postponing stronger peels over the summer — UV in Cyprus is high and the risk of new pigmentation on freshly treated skin is real. Autumn and winter suit pigmentation protocols better.
